Change management overview and timeline

Effective change management involves several key stages, each with specific tasks and objectives. For a successful rollout, you can incorporate the suggested timeline below into your project plan. Feel free to copy and edit as needed to fit your use case.

Prepare the organization for change (10 - 12 weeks prior to launch)

  • Create and document your communication strategy: Develop a plan that outlines how you will communicate with end users throughout the implementation.
  • Define use cases and benefits/value messaging: Clearly articulate the use cases and benefits of SailPoint to ensure users understand the value it brings.

  

8 weeks prior to launch

  • Coordinate with HR/enablement teams: Work with these teams to develop a training and enablement plan.
  • Finalize internal messaging: Ensure your internal messaging is consistent and clear across all communications.

1 - 2 weeks prior to launch

  • Check progress of training: Ensure training sessions are on track and address any gaps.
  • Ensure all users have access: Verify that all users have the necessary access to the new system.
  • Survey for feedback: Collect feedback from users to identify any issues or concerns before the full rollout.
