Introduction

The SailPoint IdentityIQ Associate Certification exam covers Foundational Concepts, Applications, Identity Modeling, Access Modeling, Governance, User-Driven Requests, and Provisioning, as taught in the courses IdentityIQ Introduction and IdentityIQ Essentials. It serves as the "final exam" for that training material.

Candidates for this exam are typically individuals who may be new to IdentityIQ and the identity security space and have learned the usage and functionality of the IdentityIQ product. This audience includes, but is not limited to, people who serve in the roles of junior implementer, IdentityIQ system administrator, project manager, business analyst, or first-level support. Successful candidates should be able to contribute effectively to the product implementation and support efforts.

Exam Information

The exam consists of 43 discrete option multiple-choice questions (DOMC). The exam is online and proctored. The exam seat time is up to 90 minutes, and you must complete the entire exam in one sitting. Upon exam submission, you will receive a Pass/Fail decision. You will automatically have one exam retake available.

The exam will automatically end once you have answered enough questions correctly or incorrectly, meaning all exam questions may not be presented to you. Once you reach the threshold of correct or incorrect number of questions answered, you will automatically receive a pass or fail result. Therefore, you might complete your exam in less than 90 minutes. Please note that you cannot go back and change your answers once a question has been submitted. You will not be able to flag questions for further review.

Discrete Option Multiple Choice (DOMC) Format

This exam contains Discrete Option Multiple-Choice questions. Such questions start by displaying a prompt for you to read. When you have finished reading the prompt, click “Show me an option.” A single option that contains some information will be presented to you. If you decide that the information is correct, click “Yes,” otherwise click “No.” You will not be able to change your answer after clicking “Yes or “No.”

You may be presented with additional options, one at a time, before the system moves to the next question. The number of options you see will vary from one question to the next, depending on a number of factors.

Preparing for the Exam

To prepare for the exam, you must take all the courses in the Identity Security Engineer (IdentityIQ) path (IdentityIQ Introduction and IdentityIQ Essentials training). The prerequisite to access the exam is the completion of all courses in the learning path. We recommend re-taking courses and lessons until you have mastered the knowledge and skills taught.

Score Report

At the end of the exam, you will receive a score report. This score report will help you understand your strengths and weaknesses on the exam content. The percentage displayed is the number of questions you answered correctly in that exam section. The lower the percentage, the more incorrect questions you answered on that topic. If you are re-taking the exam, use this score report to guide you on which courses to focus on. You will also be able to print or email the score report.

Digital Badge

Upon successfully passing the certification exam, you will earn the IdentityIQ Associate certification, which will be awarded as a digital badge. You will be able to share your digital badge on your LinkedIn profile, where others can click on the badge and validate the certification’s validity and authenticity. Once earned, the the badge is valid forever and never expires. You can expect to receive your badge within 24-48 hours upon successfully passing the exam. The badge will be delivered by email from Credly, so make sure your email provider does not block the following address: admin@credly.com.
