Role Membership Assignment Criteria in Access Modeling

Problem

Previously, in Role Discovery in Access Modeling, a user could only create a role that contained a static list of identities and entitlements, and could not include logic. So, for instance something as simple as an AI-created role “Engineering Department” role couldn’t be automatically assigned to a new employee that joins the Engineering Department. This was a significant reason why customers weren’t more widely adopting the power of Access Modeling in Identity Security Cloud.

Solution

Role Membership assignment criteria in Access Modeling allows customers to discover roles with Access Modeling and finish the role creation in the Identity Security Cloud Role Create page. This action allows customers to use standard criteria, as well as assign other role properties such as metadata and dimensions. Users no longer need to jump around the Identity Security Cloud UI to complete a common task.
