Product Update: Requester value for automated workflows

When automated workflows are run in Non-Employee Risk Management, the product will now store the Requester value for those workflow sessions as Automatic.

What is changing?

Previously, when an automated workflow was run, the Requester value would be set to the first admin Super User found by the system. This could create an inaccurate audit record of who executed the workflow. With this update, we will now be setting the Requester to Automatic, to indicate that the workflow was initiated by the system and not a human user.

Your audit history for historical automated workflow data already reflects the Automatic requester value in the User Interface. This update will ensure that the workflow session data (visible in the UI under Lifecycle -> Requests) will be consistent with this approach.

Do I need to take any action?

No, this change will be applied to your tenants without the need to take any action.

When will this update be applied?

This update will be applied to customer Sandbox and Production tenants on Monday, November 11th, 2024.
