New Capability: Data Access Security Box Connector

We are super excited to announce the new Data Access Security Box connector.

The new connector extends Data Access Security’s Data Discovery, Data Classification and Permissions Analysis capabilities to resources and files stored on Box application, and helps organizations attain a comprehensive governance posture and greater visibility into access to all data across on-premises and cloud storage alike.
The connector enables admins, business users and data owners to attain visibility to resources stored on the organization’s Box folders and files, analyze who has access rights to the data throughout the organization, and how this access is being used.
By surfacing access rights granted to identities and Entitlements - the Box connector enables the organization to extend their governance controls, such as Certification, to Box resources, through Data Access Security, and review granular access governance controls down to the file level.

Capabilities:

• Resource Discovery: Gain visibility to the structure and contents of data assets stored on Box application
• Utilization of Data Access Security capabilities to effectively govern Box application data assets and uphold security standards.
• Permissions Analysis: Acquire insights into Identities, Accounts and Entitlements with access to data stored on Box application, including direct access down to the file level, and review Box application folder access in a simplified hierarchical format.
  Obtain visibility into access to Box application data without requiring specific permissions or extensive meetings with Box application administrators.

  • IAM & file Level Policies
• Data Classification: Map and classify the data stored on Box application according to the organization’s data policies, including external files.

• Automated Reports: Receive automated and scheduled reports detailing access to data stored on Box application, and insights into data access paths.
