Introducing a Non-Employee Risk Management Connector for Identity Security Cloud

Previously, setting up Non-Employee Risk Management as a Source in Identity Security Cloud has required configuring a generic Web Services connector to aggregate Profile data from your Non-Employee Risk Management tenant.

By creating a dedicated SaaS connector tailor-made for Non-Employee profiles, we are providing a way for ISC Source administrators to get third-party identity data into the application faster, so that these identities' access can be managed and governed.

This connector also sets the stage for greater synchronization between Non-Employee Risk Management and Identity Security Cloud, coming later in 2024.

How will this benefit my organization?

  • This dedicated connector will eliminate the guesswork for new customers when configuring an Authoritative source for Non-Employee identity data.
  • The Sources can aggregate authoritative Non-Employee profile data in order to create identities in ISC that can be managed and governed.

Where can the connector be found?

  • The connector will be available in the Source library in Identity Security Cloud, under Admin > Connections > Sources > SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management

What objects can be aggregated?

  • Profiles will be aggregated into ISC as accounts, with Profile Type attributes configured as the account schema.
  • These accounts can then create and/or be correlated to ISC Identity Profiles.
  • At this time, the connector does not support the aggregation of entitlements.

Will the connector support provisioning profile or user data from Identity Security Cloud to Non-Employee Risk Management?

  • No, at this time the connector is a one-way authoritative Source for aggregating the non-employee Identity data managed and stored in Non-Employee Risk Management into Identity Security Cloud.

Do I need to change or update my existing Sources that connect to Non-Employee Risk Management from Identity Security Cloud?

  • Identity Security Cloud/Non-Employee Risk Management customers who have not yet connected their Non-Employee tenants to ISC can create Sources using the new connector.
  • For existing customers with Web Services connector-based Non-Employee Sources already configured in ISC, there is no immediate need to replace or update those Sources to the new connector.

When will the connector be available in Identity Security Cloud?

  • The SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management connector will become available for selection after Thursday, March 21st.
  • Online Admin documentation for connector set-up will be available concurrent with the connector release.

What is coming next?

  • While we encourage our new customers to take advantage of the new connector now, we will continue to deliver enhancements in 2024 that will make it faster and easier to establish Non-Employee Risk Management Sources in ISC, keeping your non-employee identity data in sync with minimal configuration required.
