IdentityIQ will drop support for IBM DB2 database as a supported platform

After careful consideration and a thorough analysis of market demand, we have decided to discontinue support for IBM DB2 in future releases of IdentityIQ. The IdentityIQ 8.4 release will mark the end of support for this platform. This decision is based on observed low demand for IBM DB2 in recent times.

Similarly, in response to the growing demand from the IdentityIQ community, we are excited to announce the addition of PostgreSQL as a supported database platform in IdentityIQ 8.4. This decision reflects our commitment to adapting to the dynamic landscape of technology and meeting the preferences of our users.

For any organizations using IBM DB2, the recommendation is to consider any of the additional databases we support such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

This does not impact the integration with the IBM DB2 connector found here.
