Connectivity for Disconnected Applications: New RPA SaaS Connector

SailPoint now supports the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) SaaS connector, which provides connectivity through RPA platforms for systems that lack direct methods for account and access management — such as those without modern APIs or with limited integration capabilities. Initially, the RPA connector supports UiPath as the RPA platform.

In general, Robotic Process Automation platforms are used to automate identity lifecycle management for:

• Legacy mainframe systems
• Applications with web-only interfaces
• Homegrown business applications
• Vendor systems without API support
• On-premise applications requiring UI automation

The SailPoint RPA connector gives enterprises the ability to connect to their existing RPA platforms (UiPath is the first one supported, with others to follow) to seamlessly manage and govern "last-mile" access to applications.
