The updated user interface for profile tables, as well as the performance improvements of various profile interactions throughout the product, will be disabled in production tenants until further notice. This is being done to ensure stability and data accuracy in the Non-Employee Risk Management UI.
What is the problem?
After enabling these features in production, our engineering team observed significant delays in profile data changes being reflected in the UI for some customer tenants. These delays have been observed in two scenarios:
- Following changes to a profile that has a reverse relationship to many other profiles
- Following changes of access to a profile
These problems are inconsistent in nature – they are not being experienced by every tenant. Support has been working with the customers who have observed these problems, and the profile table updates have been disabled on a tenant-by-tenant basis when the problems are reported.
What updates are being disabled in production tenants?
The UI updates originally announced here will be reverted, with the Profile tables in the following locations returning to their previous look and feel:
- Home page
- Lifecycle -> Profiles
- Admin -> Lifecycle -> Profiles
- Collaboration Portal home page
What is being done to fix the problem?
The Non-Employee Risk Management team is working to ensure that profile data is accurate and current when viewed in profile tables, form select/search fields, and on the “View Profile” page of an individual profile.
The team is also optimizing the store of profile data to more easily accommodate the reverse relationship scenario above, though it is likely that a limit will need to be implemented on the number of profiles that can be referenced by a single profile.
Will there be any changes to my sandbox tenants?
These features will remain enabled in customer sandbox tenants. This will let our team collect data and assess the solutions to the above problems prior to re-enabling these updates in production.
When will these updates be reverted in my production tenant?
